from $45.00

Learn how to grow beautiful, organic cut flowers in Florida’s fall. Kali is the gardener and the florist behind Blue House Florals, a specialty cut flower garden and design studio in the heart of Tampa Heights. During this intimate workshop, we will explore the following topics:

  • what to plant in Florida’s fall

  • organic gardening methods

  • prepping beds

  • starting seeds

  • caring for plants

  • common pests

Location: This workshop takes place at Blue House Florals in Tampa Heights. The address is 2302 N Massachusetts Ave. Tampa, FL 33602.

INCLUDED IN THE WORKSHOP

The workshop includes:

  • garden tour and presentation

  • hands on opportunities for planting

  • digital fall cut flower gardening guide

  • Please email me Kali@bluehouseflorals.com with any accessibility needs. Paths are narrow and uneven, and there is a step up from the street to curb. Driveway parking is available for accessibility needs.

ADD-ONS AVAILABLE

Seeds (+$30): Kali has carefully selected Florida-friendly fall cut flowers that are tried and true to our region. This seed collection will be more than enough for a 4x8 garden bed.

Plugs (+$100): Plugs are basically seedlings, or baby plants. This is a great option if you are a newb gardener, or just want to get a head start on your planting. These plugs will be in soil blocks and will look like little dirt brownies with a baby plant in them. They will be ready to transplant when you receive them. This fall plug collection will be more than enough for a 4x8 garden bed. Please bring a baking dish to transport the plugs to your garden.

PARKING

I’m a few blocks north of Armature Works and the Riverwalk. It’s a bright blue house on the corner of Park and Massachusetts.

  • Street parking: Available, but it can be crowded depending on events at Armature Works. Take care not to park near the double yellow lines for stop signs, and pay close attention to the signs for which side of the street to park on.

  • Public Parking: There are various parking lots and street parking surrounding Armature Works, which is just a couple blocks from my house. This may be a great option if you're planning on going to a restaurant after.
