Tired of your t-shirt? Dress got an unfortunate coffee stain? I’m doing my first ever community dye bath!
Sept 15-Sept 30th to send me a clothing item that needs a refresh, and I’ll do the dyeing (and mordanting, and washing)
Important: Your clothing item must be a white(ish) natural fiber such as cotton, linen, wool, or silk. Synthetic fibers will not take in botanical dyes. Semi-synthetic fabrics like viscose, rayon, and modal are okay too. Polyester blends are not okay, they won’t take up the dye.
You’re responsible for getting your garb to me. You can mail or drop on my front porch 2302 N Massachusetts Ave Tampa, FL 33602
Make sure to include:
You will receive your transformed clothing before the end of October.

The fine print:
Your clothes must be white(ish).
Each dye bath will be unique depending upon what the flowers want to give and what I use as a mordant. I’m anticipating this community dye bath to be a bright orange.
Botanical dyes do fade over time, but they will still keep okay. It’s part of the fun to see the colors change wash after wash.
You can care for your clothing as you normally would, though a mild detergent and hand washing will be best for color fastness.
Though I’ll take great care of your clothes, I’m not responsible for any damage or undesirable outcomes that happen in this process.
